DipJar by the Numbers: How to Maximize Your Donations
Our goal is to help you be as succesful with your DipJars as possible! We tell our nonprofit partners that setting DipJar to a higher dollar amounts almost always yields a higher intake of donations. We crunched the numbers to outline why this true, as well as provide you with suggestions on how to maximize donations for your nonprofit.
Set Your DipJar to A higher dollar amount
The graph below outlines why setting your DipJar to a higher dollar amount yields higher intake. Our data uses a baseline of a DipJar set at $5. When we look at the data it shows that if a nonprofit changes their DipJar to $10, they will still receive the same number of dips, yielding twice as many donations. This means that a donor is just as likely to give $10 as they are $5. You see only a slight decline in willing donors when a DipJar is set to $20. Therefore, you'll double your total intake when going from $10 to $20. Although it's not linear, you'll still see an increase in total donations with DipJars set at $25 and $50. To make it even more clear we provided an example below.
Nonprofit A, Nonprofit B and Nonprofit C are all hosting annual fundraisers! Here are the dollar amounts their DipJars are set to:
Nonprofit A: $5
Nonprofit B: $10
Nonprofit C: $20
Nonprofit A received 100 dips. This means they collected $500 in total donations. Based off the data from Graph 1, Nonprofit B would raise $1,050 at their fundraiser. Nonprofit C would raise $1,950.
So, what does this all mean?
The data tells us you should not set your DipJar below $10; we would actually recommend setting your DipJar to $20 or more! Check out the graph below. DipJar customers have already begun shifting towards higher dollar amounts.
Use DipJar throughout the day
You may be inclined to only use DipJar at large scale, nighttime events. However, there are many other creative ways to use DipJar!
