The Salvation Army of Chattanooga has Cracked the Code of Credit and Debit Donations
Going cashless with DipJar helped the Salvation Army of Chattanooga bring a lot more donations during the 2016 holiday season. And 2017 will be even better! Check out the video to learn more.
They utilize DipJar for a few different programs:
- Angel Tree Purchases - The Angel Tree is a program where holiday shoppers and the Salvation Army put clothes and toys under the tree for children who usually have to go without Christmas gifts. Last year the Salvation Army of Chattanooga used DipJar at the Angel Tree to bring in monetary donations from folks who may not have had the time to shop.
- The Annual Banquet - During the annual banquet the Salvation Army of Chattanooga displayed a picture of the DipJar on a large screen to educate donors about this new giving option. Once donors became familiar with DipJar, $50, $100, and $500 donations started rolling at the giving table.
- The Family Store and retail outlets - DipJars were set up in stores to collect donations from passersby throughout the year.
- Red Kettle - Salvation Army of Chattanooga is excited to test out DipJar in conjunction with the kettles this holiday season.
Kimberly George of the Chattanooga Salvation Army noticed people were not carrying cash on the streets anymore; she knows DipJar will help to ensure that no donor gets turned away due to the absence of cash. Kimberly is excited to share her DipJar story, and wants to help the Salvation Army all across the U.S. capture the power of cashless donations!
