I just wanted to say a quick hello to our growing base of DipJar users – I’m thrilled to have joined this organization at such an exciting time in our history.
During the time I was discussing my joining the company, our COO kept using the phrase “double bottom line” when referring to the DipJar’s mission. According to Wikipedia:
“Double bottom line (abbreviated as DBL or 2BL) seeks to extend the conventional bottom line, that measures fiscal performance—financial profit or loss—by adding a second bottom line to measure their performance in terms of positive social impact.”
This phrase describes DipJar’s mission perfectly – yes we’re a business and yes it’s my and our job to drive our fiscal performance, but that second bottom line is equally critical – and as I got to know the rest of the DipJar team it was clear that positive social impact is the mission that really drives us here.
DipJar has expanded rapidly and we now have nearly 6000 DipJars in use across a base of more than 4000 customers. In just the past year we’ve more than doubled our base and tripled the donations we’ve collected and distributed to you – our customers.
And we keep innovating – you’ve hopefully had a chance to look at our newest offering, Spark, which can increase the return on your DipJar investment by increasing the utilization and donation flow from your DipJars. Plus, it’s a great – and fun – way to put DipJar “on display” and increase participation at any upcoming holiday fundraisers you might be running.
